The Length of the Menstruation Cycle
The length of a woman’s menstrual cycle can vary form twenty one to forty days, some times even longer. However, the average duration of a menstrual cycle is twenty-eight days. It works this way. Your menstrual cycle starts on the first day of your period and ends on the first day of your next period. (This first day is not included). Bleeding continues for seven to eight days, but for most women, it continues for about four days.
